Hello! My name is Alejandro Rodriguez. I am a 16 year old poet with the objective to make the world a better place. As a Roman Catholic, I believe all people on Earth are given a charism, or a unique gift given to them by God - I plan to use mine to the best of my ability by writing eloquent and insightful poems all day, every day.
Through my poetry, I convey the prominent themes of having hope and faithfulness in God, while outlining the struggles and impurities of what I describe as "The Human Condition" - humanities natural inclination to sin. I attempt to encompass and highlight the human experience through universal feelings and experiences all humans naturally undergo. This way, I'm able to emphasize to everyone that nobody is alone in their trials of life. Hence, I'm "Proving You Are Worthy Of It All".

24/7 Support
We all need someone to talk to. We all want to be able to reach out to someone and tell them about what's going on in life. My poetry is always available on social media - you have full access to my words of hope and compassion online. If you can relate to my poetry, that means you're human.

Photography
Technology is both a gift and a vice. If you can't look up, you need to spend less time on a screen. The only middle ground I've found is looking through a lens of a camera. Your outlook on the world around you depends on if you're willing to find and give into the beauty of life.

Posting Poetry Online
I post my poetry principally on Instagram as much as possible. I additionally have some poetry on Pinterest. I started posting my poetry on TikTok in November 2024, and my account details are on my LinkTree. Additionally, I post my daily reflections on Instagram Threads. "This Day" is a program I started in the summer of 2023, which helped me be reflective and mindful of how my life has been going during a given period. Poetic Practices
In my poetic journey, I have identified my favorite literary devices and how to use them in my writing - alliteration, repetition, and rhyme. I am constantly using these in most of my poems, so hopefully you can identify them as you read! I also love attending Open Mic's, Writing Workshops, and Writing Summer Camp's! I go to Open Mic's monthly, as they are my way of relaxing and unwinding after a long month!
Constantly Learning
I. Love. Learning. I am a slow learner, meticulously making sure I understand concepts and content as they come along. I love the satisfaction of achieving a milestone in any aspect of academics, but I don't pressure myself into unrealistic expectations. I do the best I can and keep an optimistic and grateful attitude towards all the challenges that I face. As I move into the latter half of high school and college, I am striving for personal growth. I want to become the best version of myself, without creating false expectations about who I need to be and what dictates my success and happiness in life.
Books ... books ... books!
Since I am still in school, I am not necessarily focused on publishing right now. I want to focus on one aspect of my poetic journey at a time. Currently, that is simply sharing my poetry with as many people as possible. Once I move into college and adulthood, I will formally publish multiple books. Though I already know how I plan to publish, I don't want to rush a process that should be cherished to the fullest!

"Proving You Are Worthy Of It All" is being constructed in a figurative and literal sense. Figuratively, I am posting a majority of my poems which encompass the overall themes of self-acceptance, love, and compassion. Literally, I am showing you the construction of a book that you will be able to eventually obtain in your hands! Hopefully, this makes sense, because I am trying to spread my message to as many people as possible!
